Dr. Varsha Karamchandani, MD Profile
Dr. Karamchandani is a Psychiatrist, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (http://www.abpn.com/) as well as American Board of Integrative Medicine (http://www.abpsus.org/integrative-medicine-aboim). She completed her Psychiatry residency training at Wayne State University.
She practices general Psychiatry and has worked at St. John’s Providence Hospital, Troy Beaumont Hospital and Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. She is recognized for her diverse experience and strong knowledge base. She teaches medical students and residents at Beaumont and Providence hospitals. She has given numerous lectures and is also an examiner for Wayne State University Residents’ internal exams.
Dr. Karamchandani’s experience as a consultation liaison Psychiatrist at Beaumont has included treatment of patients in different settings including ICU, Medical/Surgical, Hospice and ER. She has previous background of being an OB/Gyn and reproductive endocrinologist and thus has special interest in women’s mental health.
